Motorcyclist Down on Interstate 280 Freeway, Saratoga Avenue in San Jose

Motorcycle Rider Injured near Saratoga Avenue Onramp
SAN JOSE, CA (June 24th, 2026) — A motorcycle crash occurred on Wednesday afternoon along the Interstate 280 Freeway near the Saratoga Avenue Onramp in San Jose, Santa Clara County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a black motorcycle and a dark SUV collided into one another along the Interstate 280 near the Saratoga Avenue Onramp.
The CHP reported that the motorcycle was down in the center divide of the highway. In addition to the motorcycle, the rider was also found sitting in the center divide. It was confirmed that the rider was breathing and appeared to have no serious injuries.
While the motorcycle sustained all-around damage and the SUV required a tow truck to be removed from the scene, emergency responders attended to everyone involved. Paramedics subsequently transported those hurt to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation and care.
Investigators at this time are still determining who is at fault for the motorcycle crash on Interstate 280 in San Jose, California.
